Landing Fees will be WAIVED the entire weekend for aircraft flying to the Canadian Aviation Expo.
Once landed and parked, you will need to fill out a FLIGHT LINE PASS and submit it at the FLY-IN ENTRANCE in order to return to your Aircraft and avoid being billed for your landing.
Upon entering the show site, you will receive a Flight Line Pass. You will need to fill out this card with your Aircraft Registration, Number of Passengers and Home Base. Carry this card with as you will need to hand it over to the gate attendant in order to be allowed airside to return to your aircraft.
THE PASS IS ALSO NECCESSARY TO ENSURE YOU ARE NOT BILLED FOR YOUR LANDING!
ATTENTION!
If you have received a bill for your landing at Hamilton, CYHM during the Expo, please contact Amy Chen at Hamilton International Aiport.

US ARRIVALS - Are You APIS registered?
Flying into Canada is simple, safe and very affordable.
The US CBP now requires eAPIS for ALL Private Flyers to and from the US.
Here is a link to help you out (will open in a new Window or Tab):
eAPIS Info on CBP.gov
To keep things easy just follow the 5 steps below.
- Prepare your route and flight plan taking into consideration weather, route, fuel and load just like normal.
- File a flight plan with the FAA in the USA or NAV Canada when in Canada.
Do not contact the Hamilton TWR for weather. Please contact, Canada - FSS 1-866-992-7433 or US - FSS 1-800-992-7433
- Advise customs of your arrival time and location.
Canada Customs will be on site during the show for US arrivals and you must follow standard Customs clearing procedures for CYHM PRIOR to proceeding to the CWH ramp for show parking. Please contact Canada Customs a minimum of 2 hours prior to your arrival at 1-888-226-7277. Fuel and maintenance will be available on site during the show.
- Make Sure You Are In Compliance with the latest APIS Requirements for Private Flyers if already registered.
In the US, customs is available in Buffalo, NY (KBUF) by calling 716-632-4727 or Watertown, NY (KART) by calling 315-482-2261 (Alexandria Bay Office). Most major cities also offer customs so check the major centres near you for availability. Canadian and US customs require 2 hours advance notice. If you are planning to arrive early in the morning, please advise customs the day before.
- VFR Flights Obtain Flight following.
VFR flights must request flight following when transiting the border and must be given a transponder squak code for that portion of the flight. Flight following can be obtained by contacting the nearest FSS station and obtaining the appropriate area frequency. This can be accomplished when filing your flight plan.
Why Not Stay Overnight?
Hamilton is full of Great Hotels and B&B's. Whatever your preference there's a place for you. Onsite Camper (RV) parking is also available. Whatever your preference...
Don't Forget Your Wheel Chocks!
With THOUSANDS of Square Feet of Paved Ramp Space there's lots of room to park your aircraft but you will need your chocks and Tie-Down weights if you have a very light aircraft. If you are unable to carry proper weights in your aicraft, call the CWH Museum at 905-679-4183 to make advanced arrangements with them.
